Re: Re: It is official

Hi Ashley! Tuition in the States is a horrendous fact of life for people in the suburbs of Massachusetts. A) Parents spend all the money they can possibly scrape up or B) students are stuck with killer loans; it's just kind of done, which is twisted in a way, but the majority of my high school classmates were A) or B). C), going to work, the military, or community college, was a small portion. In other areas and other states, C) is a much larger population. There is the University of Massachusetts, which is a lot less expensive, but it's still more than University in Canada, and they can only manage so many students. I loved my five-year high school reunion so much that I was disappointed by the ten, but I'll still go to all subsequent ones I can get to, because my high school experience was intense and beautiful and ugly, and I've known half those people since age five and the other half since age 13. Wellesley...well...indeed the Women's Studies, in which I did an undocumented minor, is sparkling. But I had a hard time there. I am curious more than anything, to see what people are like now, and to catch up. And I do feel a strong connection to the place. I'm just a little afraid that I won't feel connected to the humans, since I haven't stayed in good touch. But Joey's coming with me, so we can always hide together.
