What a fascinating position to be in. You've gone from one kind of minority (Jew in majority-Christian America -- relevant, but not very visible, at least the way liberal Judaism is usually practiced) to another kind of minority (Jew -- and white girl -- in a Filipino-Catholic family. The religious thing still isn't that visible, but skin surely is.) I like how you handled the auntie, btw. Some conversations are just too complicated to have. :-)
