Because it isn't hot.  Phew.

I am itching to join the BlogHer fray but I cannot, and lots of you know why.

I wanted to be involved in the first one, and I contacted Lisa Stone and everything and then I discovered that it was the same day as my bridal shower (the shower was planned far in advance because of travel arrangements; the conference was more hurriedly planned as many first-time shows are).  I wonder what would be happening in the blogosphere now if I'd been part of things.  Hehehehe. 

I have to stop talking about it now.

It's funny, sometimes I feel like I've left blogs-as-work behind entirely, but then I turn around and it's in my face again.  I wonder if I'd like doing that again, blogging for my department, working on blog-related projects, etc.  I'd probably stop personal blogging again.  Not that this blog has been very exciting for anyone who doesn't know me well.  Or even for them.  But one can overdose on the whole blog thing.  I dumped my personal blogging for a full year and I only missed it once or twice - there was so much else to do.  I meant to be fascinating when I returned.  My energies are elsewhere.  They're in my marriage, my jobsearch, my more-than-doubled family, my new friendships.
