So I will tell you that her gift consists of

Vanilla
Raspberry Sorbet made with a good glug of vodka (Alton Brown told me it helps keep it from freezing too hard)
Mint Chocolate Chip

and...

Peanut Butter Fudge.

I grew up in a little town in Massachusetts next to another little town called Wakefield, where there is the best ice cream in the whole world, a mom-and-pop shop called Meletharb's.

Go there and consume.

Peanut Butter Fudge is peanut butter ice cream with globs of their homemade hot fudge throughout.  We just made some, more simply than they do I'm sure.  Joey's going to blog some video and the recipe.  I'm pretty pleased with how it tastes so far; we'll taste it again once it has frozen some more.

When you go to Meletharb's, say hi to Bart, though he won't know my name, and try the PBF and the Oreo.  Or if it's fall, try the harvesty flavors, pumpkin, cinnamon, that sort of thing.  Mmmmmmm.  You may have had more exotic flavors, in Cambridge or wherever, but you've never had better.
