Cilantro, that is. I bought a wee cilantro plant yesterday, and it seems to have grown overnight.
Researching right now whether it is safe to use Miracle Gro with something you plan to eat.
I went through a phase a couple of weeks ago during which everything
had to have fresh herbs, so now I shall grow my own. What I
really want is a Thai basil plant; the stores in our neighborhood are
pretty good with selection but I have only seen sweet basil. My
favorite Thai dish requires lots of basil, and it is much better with
the spicy rather than the sweet.
Apparently, the Miracle Gro is okee dokee. The organic-growing
types don't like it of course, but I cannot imagine it is any worse
than any conventional products I eat on a regular basis. I'll see
how it grows for a week, maybe I won't even need it. I do use the
Miracle Gro on foliage plants.
So yeah. Fresh cilantro anytime I want. Mmmmm. I know
you hate it, Adina. I promise never to sneak any into your
dinner. You're not alone.
