We have cable.

Nearly the years I was living on my own in Boston, I didn't.  So now I have a tiny problem with watching too much Food Network.  And I love Restaurant Makeover.  My favorite thing about it?  Chef Lynn.

She's not on all of the episodes.  I still watch when she's not on.  But she's my favorite.  And so when Joey took me on a nice Date Night this weekend, we wanted to go to a bar in Yorkville for a drink before a later dinner reservation - and I suggested the Four Seasons.

I'm a dorky fangirl.  Any food ingested at the Four Seasons in Yorkville had to be approved, if not made, by Chef Lynn.

Of course, we did have a dinner reservation.  So just a snack.  We enjoyed a trio of tiny treats: corned duck on rye crisps, tuna sushi with black sesame, and the mini grilled cheese sandwiches with tiny grape tomatoes made into marmalade.

I love grilled cheese sandwiches, and this one was the size of my big toe, but it was incredibly delicious.

So was my ginger martini.

But the grilled cheese...I wonder which cheese it was...Taleggio maybe?  Something white and creamy and flavorful but not sharp.  Chef Lynn is my hero for even having it on the menu alongside corned duck.

Unfortunately, we did not spot her.  But we'll be back...
