View Article  Charming geeks
I've seen some fantastic people over the last few days with all the geeks in town for conferences.

Last night, I finally laid eyes on the marvelous and profane Michael O'Connor Clarke (where are you blogging these days??).  I've gushed about David Crow on the blog before but he earned another mention.  Tara Hunt, whom I knew first as the cool (and hot) chick who sings Mr. Roboto, is here as well.  Stowe Boyd backhandedly congratulated me on my move, which was amusing.  Boris Mann, Greg Narain, Troy, the nice PubSub guy whose name I've lost, Sacha, all very entertaining.  And I met Sniffles!  And another Tara, whose last name I can't recall because she'd taken off her nametag.  Tons of people, too many to list.

I haven't namedropped that much in a year.  Sweeeeet.  But I've been having a good time, it's like having a job again.  I went to a networking breakfast this morning as well, but that wasn't nearly as much fun, since a) we were having scrambled eggs, which I don't even like, instead of beers and b) not so much with the geeks.  Oh well.   I did hand out some homebrew business cards.

I have now seen, in order, every single episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The series boxed set was my Chrismukkah gift from Joey.  It has taken me five months to watch it all, but it is done.

I wasn't a fan when the series was running.  I don't think I was ready.  But now...I love it.  Oof, do I love it.  I've owned Season 6 for awhile, but the rest had holes for me, and now they're all filled.

Trying to choose my favorite episodes.  Top five off the top of my head:

Tabula Rasa
Fear Itself
Hush
Family
Conversations with Dead People (no page in the episode guide)

Hush, I think, is my absolute favorite.  The Gentlemen are the scariest demons I can think of.  And the whole thing is just brilliant.  I always do the stabby-stabby motion that gets misunderstood joke, too.

Anyway, I will come up with my definitive top 5 at some point.
